My exhibition programme in Alexandria, Egypt (FULL CIRCLE) featured a show of portraits on paper. I am always making portraits, faces, heads, figures – all of them are based on observation of the people I see and meet. For this show I presented large scale works I made a few years ago, from a series called Baptism of Hailstones, together with new work I made for the show. One series of the new work is of faces peering out of darkness… anyway, here they are:

UNTITLEDTHE VENUE, WEKALET BEHNA, IS A FANTASTIC SPACE AND A REALLY REMARKABLE PLACE – IT IS PART OF THE ART ORGANISATION GUDRAN WHICH HAS 3 CENTRES ACROSS THE CITY OF ALEXANDRIA AND IS DOING AMAZING THINGS FOR ART IN THE CITY.
